Turning Passions into Professions: A Morning of Inspiration at Alif Dining
The energy was electric this morning at Alif Dining in Campbelltown as we hosted a transformative meetup for South Asian women entrepreneurs. The event, “From Passion to Profession,” focused on bridging the gap between a creative spark and a sustainable business reality.
The morning kicked off with a warm welcome for our 5 Early Bird arrivals, who were celebrated with special gift bags to honor their punctuality. During our Icebreaker session, attendees shared their childhood dreams and life passions, creating an immediate bond of sisterhood. A special mention goes to Ms. Sanam Mukhtar for her great engagement and energy throughout the event, keeping the momentum high.
Sharmeen Ali, Girls Coordinator and Assistant Secretary of Young Innovators Australia (YIA), shared exciting updates on youth activities and the importance of mentorship. Our keynote speaker, Mahe Saleh, brought 30+ years of global expertise to the floor, navigating the complexities of starting a business using free digital tools. She also shared her YouTube video
The session concluded with a moderated Q&A and a gift presentation to Mahe by Sharmeen, capturing moments of a community truly empowered to grow.
Mahe is a business professional with over 30 years of experience in various industries, including manufacturing, import-export, and service sectors, operating in Australia and Dubai. Her global perspective, gained from living in multiple countries, enhances his multilingual communication and cultural intelligence, aiding in negotiations and relationship building.
She is also a Certified Event Planner with expertise in project management, logistics, and client experience, successfully managing complex projects and events for over 17 years. Currently, as a freelance consultant, she helps entrepreneurs turn ideas into structured outcomes while volunteering for nonprofits to manage their social media and events.
