Job Title: Online Quran Teacher

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy Online Quran Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering interactive, mentor-based Quranic education to children located overseas. This role requires high proficiency with Google Workspace tools, strong English and Urdu communication skills, and the ability to work within the Australian Time Zone (AEST).

Key Responsibilities

  • Interactive Teaching: Conduct engaging, resource-based, and mentor-based lessons for overseas students via Google Meet.
  • Student Assessment: Listen to students, correct their mistakes, test their knowledge, and provide consistent encouragement.
  • Lesson Planning: Develop structured lesson plans and utilize instructional materials primarily from Quran.com.
  • Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed records of student progress using Google Docs.
  • Parent Communication: Actively communicate with parents by creating WhatsApp subgroups, providing post-class lesson summaries in bullet points, and coordinating schedules.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

1. Communication & Language Skills

  • Fluent in English: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively teach overseas children.
  • Fluent in Urdu: Ability to speak and communicate in Urdu to connect with our targeted demographics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills via WhatsApp for parent engagement.

2. Technical Proficiency

  • Strong capability and familiarity with Google Technologies:
    • Google Meet (for conducting classes)
    • Google Docs & Google Slides
    • Google Sheets (Spreadsheets)
    • Gmail & Google Calendar
  • Good command of navigating and utilizing Quran.com for teaching.

3. Teaching Experience

  • Experience teaching children from overseas.
  • Solid understanding of Engagement Teaching, Mentor-Based Learning, and Resource-Based Learning frameworks.

Working Hours & Schedule

This is a part-time, hourly-paid position operating entirely on Australian Time Zone requirements.

Weekdays

4:00 PM – 8:00 PM / 9:00 PM

Note: Exact teaching hours within these brackets will depend entirely on student availability.

Compensation

  • Payment Type: Hourly basis.
  • Remuneration: Paid strictly based on the hours spent actively teaching allocated students.
